Lease return information

What you need to know about your GMC lease return

If you're getting near the end of your GMC lease, you have a lot of options in terms of what to do next. At Haddad GMC in Adams, MA, we provide you with plenty of choices, so here are some details for you to consider.

The most common lease-end return options

One of the most common lease-end steps is to return your leased GMC truck or SUV to us and sign up for another new GMC lease. That lets you get the newest GMC design, capability and technology. Another excellent choice is to buy the GMC model you've been leasing. You may have fallen in love with it and you know it's been well-maintained because you've been taking care of it. That allows you to build up cash value with every monthly loan payment.

Another very good choice is to step away from leasing and buy a GMC Sierra 1500, GMC Acadia, Terrain, Yukon or Canyon in our new inventory,  our used inventory or our certified inventory.

Where do I return my leased GMC model?

If you leased your GMC truck or SUV from us, you can return it to our dealership. We know your leasing contract well so we can help you manage the details, including pre-inspection, final inspection, and any fees that will be required for excess miles, damage or wear and tear. Even if you leased a GMC from another dealer, you can still return your GMC model to our dealership. Feel free to contact us to find out more about returning your leased GMC vehicle.

What's involved in the lease return process?

At 60 days before your lease contract ends, you can schedule an inspection of your leased GMC truck or SUV. One of our certified GMC technicians will examine your vehicle, looking for any excess wear or damage. If repairs are needed, you can schedule those at our service center. At 30 days before the end of your contract, it's time to schedule your lease return appointment. Be sure to bring all receipts to confirm that the required repairs have been completed.

What fees or expenses will I be responsible for during my lease?

Because you're leasing a GMC vehicle, you'll be responsible for any traffic or parking tickets, or toll fees that have been assessed during your lease contract. Any charges can be added to your monthly billing statement. If you don't get a monthly billing statement, an off-cycle bill can be sent for the fees. We invite you to learn more by reading about our dealership.

Can I really just buy my leased GMC truck or SUV?

Yes, it's easy to buy the GMC model you've been leasing and it's very common for lessees around Lenox, MA or Pittsfield, MA to do that. If you've grown attached to your GMC truck or SUV, you can buy it outright and keep driving it for as long as you want. Just visit a specialist in our finance center to explore your buying options so you can make that GMC vehicle your own. As soon as your purchase is finalized, you won't have to worry about mileage limitations or leasing fees for excess wear and tear.

Can I get an extension on my GMC lease?

Yes, if you don't want to return your leased GMC truck or SUV by the contract deadline, you can ask for an extension. That extension does not increase the mileage allowed in your original contract. Any mileage above the amount allowed in your contract will be billed at the rate specified in your GMC lease agreement. Get to know our dealership staff and contact the appropriate person to find out more about your lease-end options at Haddad GMC in Adams, MA.
